InImageCompressor is a free, web-based image compression tool that processes images entirely within your browser. The service supports multiple image formats including JPG, PNG, WebP, and AVIF.

All compression operations are performed locally on your device using browser-native technologies. Your images are not uploaded to our servers as part of the compression workflow.

Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use InImageCompressor. By using the service, you represent that you meet this age requirement and that you will comply with all applicable laws and regulations in your jurisdiction.

User Responsibilities

You are solely responsible for the images you process using InImageCompressor. You represent and warrant that:

  • You own the images or have the necessary rights, licenses, and permissions to process them
  • Your use of the service does not violate any applicable laws or regulations
  • You will not use the service for any unlawful or prohibited purpose
  • You will not infringe upon the intellectual property rights or privacy rights of others

Acceptable Use

Because images are processed entirely in your browser and are not uploaded to our servers, we never take possession of your files. You maintain complete control over your content at all times.

You are responsible for ensuring you have all necessary rights to process the images you use with our service, and that your use does not violate the rights of any third parties.

Intellectual Property

InImageCompressor, including its design, code, branding, and documentation, is owned by its creator and is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws.

The service incorporates open-source software components that are used under their respective licenses. Nothing in these terms grants you any rights to our intellectual property except as explicitly stated.

Third-Party Services

We are not responsible for the content, privacy practices, or terms of service of any third-party sites. Your interactions with third-party services are solely between you and the third party.

Service Availability

Compression Results and Accuracy

Image compression involves tradeoffs between file size and visual quality. While we strive to provide high-quality compression, we make no guarantees about:

  • The exact file size of compressed images
  • The visual quality of compressed images
  • The preservation of all image metadata
  • Compatibility of compressed images with all applications or devices
  • Achieving specific target file sizes

Compression results depend on many factors including the source image content, format, resolution, and compression settings. When using target-size compression, the service will attempt to meet your specified target, but results will vary based on the image characteristics.

You are responsible for verifying that compressed images meet your quality and compatibility requirements before using them for any purpose.

Disclaimers

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW:

  • InImageCompressor is provided “AS IS” and “AS AVAILABLE” without warranties of any kind, either express or implied
  • We disclaim all warranties, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement
  • We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free
  • We do not warrant the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of any content or results
  • We do not warrant that any defects will be corrected

Any material you download or otherwise obtain through the service is done at your own discretion and risk. You are solely responsible for any damage to your device or loss of data that results from downloading or using such material.

Limitation of Liability

Because InImageCompressor is provided free of charge, our maximum aggregate liability to you for any claims related to the service is limited to the amount you paid to use the service (which is zero dollars).

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain warranties or liabilities. In such jurisdictions, our liability will be limited to the greatest extent permitted by law.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless InImageCompressor and its creator from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising from: (a) your use of the service; (b) your violation of these Terms of Service; (c) your violation of any rights of another person or entity; or (d) any content you process through the service.

Changes to the Service
